1. Who we are

The Balloon Printers is a balloon printing business based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, and part of the Luce Balloons family. These terms apply to all orders placed with us by phone, email, our website form or in person.

2. Custom printed products

Printed balloons are made to your specification. We will send you a proof showing your artwork on the balloon in your chosen ink colour. By approving the proof you confirm the artwork, spelling, balloon colour, ink colour, quantity and pack size. Because printed balloons are personalised, they cannot be returned or refunded once printed unless they are faulty or differ from the approved proof.

3. Artwork and intellectual property

You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, any logo, name, image or text you ask us to print, and you agree to cover us against any claim arising from printing it. We may simplify artwork so that it prints well on latex; the proof shows the version we will print. We may photograph finished balloons for our gallery and social media unless you ask us not to.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling per pack and include the single-colour print. Ink colour changes mid-run are charged at £9 per change. Delivery and helium hire are quoted separately. Payment is due on approval of the proof and before printing unless we have agreed trade account terms with you in writing. Prices may change, but a price we have quoted and you have accepted is fixed for that order.

5. Turnaround and delivery

We confirm an estimated completion date with your proof. We do our best to meet it, but it is an estimate, not a guarantee; please tell us your event date so we can advise honestly. Orders can be collected from Lisburn by arrangement or delivered at the price quoted. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection. Please check your order on receipt and tell us about any problem within 48 hours.

6. Balloons, helium and safety

Latex balloons can be a choking hazard; children under eight should be supervised and burst balloons discarded. Helium should never be inhaled. Helium cylinders remain our property, must be stored upright and secured, and must be returned in the condition supplied; you are responsible for the cylinder while it is in your possession. Latex floats for a limited time and colours may vary slightly between batches. We ask that balloons are never released outdoors.

7. Faults and liability

If printed balloons are faulty or do not match the approved proof, tell us within 48 hours of receipt with photographs and we will reprint or refund the affected balloons. Our liability for any order is limited to the price paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.

8. Cancellation

You can cancel an order at any time before you approve the proof. After approval, printing begins and the order cannot be cancelled, though we will always try to help if your circumstances change. Helium hire can be cancelled before collection or delivery.

9. Privacy

We use your details only to handle your order and enquiry, as described in our privacy policy.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of Northern Ireland.
